Hi! I'm Nick Hawkins. I created BlackSkullDrums.com to help current or future drummers of all experience levels find the gear and inspiration that best suits their style. I have been playing drums for the entirety of my life and have played in many bands over the years that include styles of rock, blues, jazz, reggae, electronic and heavy metal. I taught drum lessons at a local music store for about 15 years; teaching aspiring drummers from age 5 to 75 and all in between. This website is a compilation of gear that I would recommend, highlighting specifics for age or experience level.
